Heralds of the Damned

Description:

The group of Homo Saurus / Demons that serve as the main antagonists in the Darkness of a Cursed Light. They are lead by Uscilis, with Ikumonos and Tregthar being supporting leaders. Less run like a government, and more of an extremist terrorist group. Their main goal is to free Apocrylis Sintalus from the Twilit Gate and unleash their rule on the entire world to achieve their agenda.

History:

The organization never had a specific point of birth, more of just being the demons changing their name. In 4400 the group had rumors circulated of their existence and activity as a result of them building power, accruing resources, and searching for the Nexus of the Seal's. Later on the Herald's of the Damned did go public in 4500, exercising their immense wealth and power to speed up the search for the Nexus of the Seal's, eliminate threats, and so on, with the Celestial Lumanine almost immediately opposing them. Soon after, Colton Diaíresi Toa is found, setting off the events for the Darkness of a Cursed Light series.

Members:

Despite being an evil, hateful, and terrorist-like group, the Herald's of the Damned allows any race to join, that is except Noctua and Priments. For these two races, the Herald's of the Damned will almost do everything they can to bully, hurt, and kill due to the Herald's of the Damned disliking their neutrality. Though in some very rare cases, a member of either two races has been known to help or hinder purposefully the Herald's of the Damned. Despite this almost near full-acceptance of races, this doesn't mean they don't prioritize any race over others, with their favorite being Homo Saurus / Demons, Homo Sapiens, Kekamotos, and Orcaligths, due to their much more violent, destructive, and manipulative natures. But despite all this, they are very much cruel to their own members, with higher ups often making life miserable for subordinates, as well as much mocking of peers. This causes the entire group to not reach their full potential.

Signature:

Just like any other military/terrorist/extremist group, the Herald's of the Damned have their signature symbol that they put on banners, flags, etc. The symbol is that of a black eye, with the iris being serpentine, and two drops of blood hanging from the corners, a third drop hanging from the center, each designed to look like a six. If this symbol is placed on a black flag, the black eye will be swapped out for a light-gray, but the blood-drops keep their dark red. Within their territory, they love to brand everything with this, but will keep it more hidden should they be out on the field, so they can lie and trick others to accomplish their goal.

Technology:

The Heralds of the Damned have all the technology the world could offer, except for the best thats in Novum (due to it staying there). Their aircraft, weapons, and so on are far superior, making their firepower more than adequate for the amount of soldiers they have. This has made them a global power, and makes it hard to contend with and easily beat them. Those who fight back have to do so with guerrilla tactics.
It's also theorized the Heralds of the Damned are putting their knowledge of science, technology, and so on to create a much more powerful weapon that would make anyone bow to the ground.
Also due to them being mostly Homo Saurus / Demons, the Heralds of the Damned participate much more in unethical and experimental procedures, allowing them to achiueve and create objects, weapons, and devices that no other race, group, or government has. Chronos is a prime example of this, being the first of his kind.
Their signature armor is made of Demothest, being full-body medieval styled (gloves, boots, and all) with skulls fashioned at the shoulders, and their helmets (which have holes on the top for the Homo Saurus / Demons horns) have the front fashioned to look like a skull. They all carry a variety of weapons, depending on the situation, and what supplies they have available to them.

Territories:

The Herald's of the Damned have many territories, bases, and so on. Most notably their massive control over Dead Lands / Northern Mesica with the Dead Lands and so on. They've turned the Somnum Hills into the borders of this territory and fortified it into one massive fortress. Their other territory is down in the Adustus Desert, being much smaller as it's confined to the massive rock formations that make up Malum, though this is where their top three demons stay, due to it being out in the desert, closer to the capital city of Khalas, and less known public, due to it being in the middle of the uninhabited desert.

Motivations:

Though the Heralds of the Damned has a massive number of its members being demons, not all demons share the same general motive of the Heralds of the Damned. That being utter and total control of the entire world. Though one might think they want to achieve this because they're demons, they're evil, and it's in their nature, they are only partially wrong. Though the demons are more naturally evil and cruel, they also wish to rule the world due to their history, in which they were (against their will) tested on and made abominations. The demons wish to rule all sentients and take away their free will to establish absolute peace, mighty growth in all aspects, and so on, which is the same ideals Apocrylis Sintalus believed in that resulted in his damned state.. They believe that this end is justifying for any and all means, even if it means the Earth Reforming Calamity has to occur a million more times with more then a hundredfold deaths. This is also influenced to a more severe state by Apocrylis Sintalus, who wishes to be freed and rule the world as he believes it should have been.
Type
Illicit, Terrorist group

Enemies:

The Heralds of the Damned are enemies with the Celestial Lumanine, and as a result, a 'war' of sorts have started out between them, with each having their own full on militaries. Though the Heralds of the Damned has its own end goal and such, its has only a side goal to eradicate the Celestial Lumanine, removing them as an obstacle. Anyone they find being a member of this group, the Heralds of the Damned will always kill in the most painful way (if they have the time and resources for it). The only times they will attempt to convert a Celestial Lumanine member is if they are powerful enough, have enough influence, resources, or so on.

Corrupters:

Due to the Heralds of the Damned being very wealthy, they have essentially bribed off all politicians within Central Mesica, placing the government under Uscilis's thumb. Though they rarely seek help from the government, the Heralds of the Damned always expect President Jimmy Hendrix to operate the government normally as long as it doesn't get so much as a single finger in the way of the Heralds of the Damned, otherwise the president will be 'punished' by having a massive mess to cleanup, as well as his political position possibly being compromised.
In addition to Central Mesica, the Heralds of the Damned have infected Dwarvamir, though not successful in bribing King Duril Grod Bamritor to their side, they have managed to corrupt and make him a selfish and evil leader.
