Demothest

Description:

A crystalline material that is very strong. It is diamond infused with Dark-Energy, having the energy bind it so that the diamond's weak cutting lines are protected. Strangely, the more Dark-Energy is placed on the crystal, the stronger and more clear it becomes, going so far as to have it be identical to purple-hued glass.

Origin:

Once thought to have originated during the Earth Reforming Calamity, but now has proven to been first created during the Eternal Battle as a result of all of the intense dark magic used by the demons there. Though, it was very unknown at first, only fully being discovered later in 4280, five years after the Eternal Battle, where it saw a huge spike in usage, production, and so on, eventually going on to become the main resource used by the demons.

Usage & Properties:

Due to it being a good deal stronger than diamond, the Homo Saurus / Demons use it mainly for armor. Sometimes for weapons due to it being able to hold a sharp edge for a long time, but is extremely hard to sharpen. Another usage it has, is a demolition. Due to it having a high amount of potential-energy, should it be introduced to enough electricity, heat, or someone possess the correct Caliber, one could detonate it (it explodes with roughly twice the force as dynamite).
Strangely, at times it will emit frost on any immediate surfaces touch it, or the container it is contained in, regardless of how hot or cold the surrounding environment will be. Those with dark Calibers (such as Colton Diaíresi Toa) might feel called to it, due to the dark-energy inside the Demothest. This effect can be amplified by dark creatures should is suit their need.

Impure Infection:

If Demothest is created with unstable and poorly-crafted dark-energy, then it will be considered Impure Demothest. This works the same as normal Demothest, except for the fact it could detonate itself at any moment, it can suddenly release all of it's dark energy (turning it to Diamond), or suddenly covering itself in front and freezing the entire room. Another property impure Demothest has, is that should a chunk be injected into a victim, and prolong its inhabitance, it will create and alpha Scourgers. The size of the chunk will range depending on the willpower of the victim, but should it prove to be too small, it will merely cause illnesses to the victim (ones like from lead-poisoning or similar infections).
