Colton Diaíresi Toa (Cole-ton Dee-air-eh-sea Toe-uh)

Description:

A skinny boy at first, with skin that holds a light tan, and medium-length dark-grayhair. His eyes are silver-blue, a firm and defined jaw with rigid hands. And in terms of height, he's perfectly average at 5'5 (until he grows the older he gets). He also has all of his upper-right arm, shoulder, and a good portion of his back, heavily covered in burn scars from when he survived Aquila Mons. He wears mostly black clothes until he achieves his signature look later on.
His signature look: Black-armored boots and leg-piece, with a blue armored chest-piece, and a black knee-length coat with designs on the shoulders, his two swords (Hungering Shadow and Persistent Light) with straps ground around his shoulders and side, and a couple of daggers at his waist, with black fingerless gloves on his hands.

History:

Born and raised for the first seven years of his life in Aquila Mons. He lived with his two brothers, his sister, and his parents. His home was unpleasant due to his overly demanding, negligent, and abusive parents, causing Colton to befriend and often be absent from home with Kai Winder, who took an unusual liking to Colton for two years. Colton's two brothers followed in their parents' footsteps and were abusive to Colton, while his sister was always away from home for very vague reasons. Aquila Mons was soon attacked and destroyed by the Heralds of the Damned. Colton's two brothers were thought to be killed, along with their parents and Kai Winder. Their sister managed to escape, although not with the group of survivors Colton had gone with, separating them for many years. Colton moved with the group of survivors to the city SlumsWealth, where he became homeless in the slums of the city. Colton later on (around age 12) meets Liam Lewis and they become best friends. The two learn to make a scavenger living in the city. At least until they get recruited into the Celestial Lumanine around the same time SlumsWealth is destroyed.

Personality:

At the beginning of Darkness of a Cursed Light, Colton is more rebellious, and more morally gray when it comes to survival. Being a street rat, he breaks many laws, but he avoids damage when he can and his excuse is for 'survival', but his mischief causes trouble to those around him, not to mention, that he gets frustrated when others try to dictate his actions or dictate something in his life. A side effect of his rough upbringing in Aquila Mons at the hands of his family. He is quite awkward and somewhat clumsy unless it involves him running away, then he's very agile. Other such side effects he displays are fear of close relationships and intimacy, inability to easily trust individuals, partial insensitivity, and very oblivious to social cues of romantic/intimate themes.

Calibers:

Most of Colton's Calibers can be categorized into two sides, a light side and a dark side, much like his nature and personality. They appear and grow at different times over an extended period.   Divine Cannon: Assuming Colton has enough Nebulite with enough energy, Colton can transform both of his swords into a cannon of sorts by combining them and creating splits down the center of the blades. He transfers the energy from the Nebulite crystals to the sword-cannon and fires a powerful beam (more or less powerful beams depending on how much energy he draws from Nebulite crystals). Its range depends on its power, the more powerful, the further it goes. Should it reach its limit, it fizzles out of existence much like a flamethrower's flame burns out. Although this ability is Colton's most powerful, it requires ungodly amounts of energy, much more than Colton has on his own. It drains him enough to the point, that he can barely walk on his own for a short time.   Dark Side: Of his dark side Calibers, Colton has many to choose from. Though, on this side, the Calibers are much more destructive, both to Colton's targets, himself, and the surrounding environment.   Demothest Mastery: Colton possesses the ability to create, control, and destroy Demothest, allowing him to create walls or shields, or bombs made from the volatile material. It can be used for all manner of challenges. However, detonations can seriously harm Colton, and generating it takes massive amounts of energy, exhausting him out more quickly than simply controlling or detonating it. Not to mention, the Demothest can be detonated by some other individuals, which can make using it as armor near lethal.   Demon-Side: A very powerful ability Colton possesses is the ability to turn into a twenty-five-foot tall demon, with a gaping jaw lined with razor teeth, long and cruel killing claws, and strong limbs perfect for destruction, not to mention, thick fur that serves as a form of armor. His eyes glow, his breath is hot, and his voice is replaced with growls and roars. Although he is extremely powerful in this state and a force to be reckoned with, his mind is in a beastly state. This causes him to risk turning on his friends and harming, if not killing them, as well as any bystanders or structures nearby. He learns to go into it on command, but to come out of it, he must wait till the transformation runs its course. There is the risk, however, that he is forced into the transformation whether via mind control or powerful emotions (IE, extreme anger from a tragic loss, intense fear from a terrifying enemy). Though he can go through a partial transformation, in which case his irises turn purple, his teeth sharpen, his voice becomes more growling, and he gains a small amount of strength. He learns to do this partial transformation on command but significantly increases the risk of fully converting to Demon-Side.   Dark Burst: With his dark-sided sword, Colton can deliver powerful blows by forcing his energy into it and charging the edge. Upon contact, the edge releases a very directional blast forward, providing more cutting power. He can do the same, (but on a much smaller scale) to his fists if he creates Demothest on his knuckles.   Light Side: Colton's light-sided abilities are as abundant as his dark-sided abilities, though less destructive and more passive. What they lack in firepower, they make up for in defense and technical benefits.   Nebulite Energy Transfer: Though he cannot control Nebulite, he can drain the Nebulite of its energy and use it to temporarily boost his other Calibers, and natural abilities, or merely use it as an alternative to caffeine.   Flashlight: Since his light-sided sword is made of Nebulite, and with his previous ability, Colton can transform his sword (or any form of Nebulite) to glow brightly, essentially creating a flashlight.   Blessed Cover: Although not solid, it does offer protection against ethereal, metaphysical, and magical powers. Though it offers significant protection against the previously mentioned powers, direct physical hits go right through. The cover gradually drains energy over time, and increases in its cost the more power it pushes back against. Given a sufficiently strong enough hit, one could destroy the cover and drain Colton of a large portion of energy with a single hit.

Age: 15

Colton was born on October 31st, 4601, right on Halloween. Some assume that explains the darkness inside of him. Lily Scientia Alledria believes its the reason that even though he can be mature and all, he still likes to be a mischievous kid at times. Stating that: 'He took the 'trick' side of things too seriously but his thick skull won't let it be pulled out' He's also theorized to be part demon, part angel, and part human, owing to his very odd nature and Calibers.

Quirk:

Although Colton possesses many powerful abilities and is a force to be reckoned with, due to how much energy he spends for each battle (even the small ones), his body had to adapt to store massive amounts of energy and generate it rather quickly. This explains why he can eat so much yet stay in shape, his body simply performs too much exhaustive work. Luckily for Colton, Lily Scientia Alledria loves to cook, not so much eat however, which is also lucky for her since she gets to try out new recipes without having to worry about wasting food or throwing off her diet. Colton always votes to have something she made over someone else's creation, especially if its a type of sandwich or stew. Funnily enough, Colton shares this trait of eating massive amount of food with Darius 'John' Henry, with the two of them sometimes having eating competitions.

Swords:

He has two swords that serve as his main use for defense and offense. Each which augments the two sides of his abilities as they have the corresponding natures. The swords are extremely heavy to all, except Colton, unless he's 'bonding' with the swords. For Hungering Shadow, he has to connect the sword and his hand into one limb via Demothest. And for Persisten Light, he must bind himself to it by using his Nebulite Energy transfer Caliber, constantly exchanging energy between himself and the sword so as to create a constant stream between the two.

Hungering Shadow

A sword made almost entirely out of Demothest . The Core of the blade and hilt is one piece of Titanium. And the rest of the blade is solid Demothest . The hilt is wrapped in high-quality grippy leather. The shaping is very medieval times, with the blade being jagged and cruel-looking, with a similar guard and pommel style, to utilize damage and destruction whenever possible.

Persistent Light

A sword made almost entirely out of Nebulite, with similar design to Hungering Shadow in terms of Titanium core and such. The shaping is more elegant and straight forward, with large guard and pommel to maximize defense. The pommel is similarly wrapped in high-quality, grippy leather. This blade also holds a slight glow, casting luminance in dark environments, even if a Caliber is not being used.

Hobby:

Despite his rather reckless and thrill-seeking nature, Colton does enjoy quiet moments. Especially if they include laying on the soft grass on a warm day out in the sun watching clouds roll by with a gentle breeze. He'd give anything for a day like that! Lily Scientia Alledria called lazy at first, but Colton soon converted her to his ways, resulting in a tradition of them having a monthly picnic when they can.   He also has a habit of studying anything out of the ordinary that has little to no explanation. He blames Lily Scientia Alledria for it. If he finds something unexplained that involves exploration of ruins or some sort, his mood changes so you would think he's leaving on vacation. He tends to leave any extensive book reading or document combing up to Lily.
