Leiba Larix

Leiba Larix- Henbelle

The twin sister of Queen Sarhilde. Leiba initially was enamoured with the idea of royal court life, but quickly grew tired of the cutthroat attitude of the nobles. She is far more sensitive and moody than her sister, and spent most of her time writing stories about court drama and her struggles to find a spouse.

She eventually became involved with a circle of writers in Blaec Gheal, taking frequent trips to the countryside bordering The Naefergrene and having a string of romances. Leiba would become a prolific writer of poetry and short stories, inspired by her siblings’ adventures. She is the only family member that got along with Harlow and would eventually compile folklore surrounding the events of the Hol Gheal Disaster before her death.

The book Folk-lore of the Early North is a compilation of folktales and local legends written and recorded by her. She wrote under the name Leiba Larix, a reference to the tree her ancestor Old Nick is crafted from. This gave birth to the House of Larix, with descendants of Old Nick being referred to as such.
