Personal history
Kalfr was Old Nick and Earlen Wulfrun's youngest child and only son. He was born without legs below the knee and suffers from Sea-born Anemia. His father doted on him and ensured that he had the best medical care, with prosthetics made by Agriopa crafters and care of Phoneutria Hooded Mothers.
He fled Ghealas after his parents' unfortunate demise and married into the Henbelle Family, who sponsored his education in the Holy Union of the Cross-vein Ore in exchange for a groom-price. His wife Annis Henbelle died giving birth to their twins, Maudie Henbelle and Kola Henbelle . Her superstitious family removed the children from Kalv's care and abandoned him but in name.
After this, Kalv took on an Ephemera suitor named Efa. They met when she showed up at his house holding the infant Mallt, asking Kalv for his hand in marriage. Efa, having a limited lifespan, died when Mallt was young. When it was determined that Efa had stolen Mallt from an unsuspecting couple, their marriage was declared unlawful and annulled, though Kalv refers to Efa as one of his spouses.
A few years later, Kalv married Calena, a Hooded Mother who had escaped an unwanted marriage from her home in Lyontooth. Together they had three children, a son Hrothwaite and twin daughters Sarhilde and Lindru of Larix. Calena developed Forest Rot later in life and died at the Western edge of the Naefergrene Forest.
The final spouse Kalv took on was Cerdic, a widowed Larchwold hunter and trapper from Hedgenettle Forest. Cerdic brought with him a son named Agnus, who Kalv formally adopted and raised as his own. Cerdic was lost in a hunting trip, but it was later revealed that he sacrificed himself to Old Nick in order to save the other members of his party.
Kalv was eventually introduced to Wendy Wisterwood, an Aliruna who happened to be his distant ancestor. She would become his personal Humourist and ultimately his lifelong companion, though their affection for one another remained strictly familial.
