South Narrows
Descending via the Cliff-Crawler lifts into the sea mist below, the briney air thick in the lungs as the cliffs and rocks surround you, it seems you are perhaps descending into the very ocean itself. You pass between monolithic rock like bridges that seem only possible if magic, their shapes in the distance shrouded. Even past these formations you descend until you come to a halt, thankfully not underwater but on a narrow shelf of rocky beach upon which are a variety of buildings whom's shapes are not entirely obvious with the mist. The lantern lights of the street lamps seem to barely help, illuminating pockets beyond the norm for the evening, but creating a surreal ambience within the mist as you move through the streets and alleys amongst the buildings and evening foot traffic. The South Narrows of Geata-Iarainn are often most people's first taste of the Dockside Quarters and they never fail to make an impression.
Points of interest
The South Narrows has a few places and locales worthy of note, and one of them you actually have to go through in most cases to even enter the South Narrows, as it is the way down from the rest of the city to the Dockside Quarters.
This massive fortified sort of complex contains both at the top and bottom a full on military garrison of sorts as well as several governmental offices for a variety of functions, however all of this is built around and to protect the massive nine contraptions and chutes meant to allow massive amounts of traffic up and down. The cliff-crawler lifts are a major and a key part of how Geata-Iarainn functions as a city, and the lifts are heavily protected and fortified as well as their control panels and operation rooms heavily fortified within massive Khasliens both above and below.
The sister temple to one in Old Sky-Side, so named as a form of ironic theology humor, to match up with the sister institution above. Similarly this temple is actually a large cathedral like structure that is divided into nine smaller churches, though this one contains a hospice as well, that is open and free, run to aid the less fortunate. Each of those smaller churches can house seventy to a hundred or so people for open sermons and the like, and like many such temples meant to be congregated temples for all nine Ascended, they often do serve as a sort of community center as well for the local area, and the Temple of the Risen Heroes or its sister institution are no exception.
This guildhall is tied to the Shipper and Stevedore guild, whom naturally, with the busy Mercantile Isles connected and with most workers and their families living here in South Narrows, is positioned as one would expect. This particular guildhall is actually also a repurposed naval training academy, which makes the structure itself interesting, it was gifted to the guild some one hundred and fifty years ago when the Naval Academy moved to their now much larger campus.
This small church has a brimming congregation in this area of Geata-Iarainn, which is how come it exists. It is a simple temple devoted to the god of the Sea, Captain Black Jeremiah, not the normal Ascended whom would receive primary worship or their own entire church in Suranth, but where the sea is a lifeline and naval life and trade is so vital, it is an inevitable thing that at least one or two such temples will sprout up when you have large enough volumes of people. This church also acts a bit as a sort of unoffical guild office for deckhands and sailors, as churches of the High Captain oft are want to do. Those with desires for a life at sea whom don't wish to sign up to the navy, be they skilled sailors seeking gainful employment or green behind the gills young 'uns lost in life seeking purpose or a job that is more than a job can oft find guidance to opportunity through liason with the church.

The South Narrows seem to be an interesting district of the town. I guess they are full of live and even more people :) PS: There are some errors with your formatting of two of the headlines.
