Aldershall
Aldershall is a town on the Island of Ciello. It is the traditional seat of the Counts of Aldershall. The town is a market town, and functions as a regional economic center for the region. The town serves as a secondary harbour for northen Ciello, after Reddingfield. The town has seen a economic decline in recent centuries as newer heavier ships cannot dock at Aldershall.
Demographics

Aside from the imperial buildings, the city the town is fairly spread out. A hill (the Alder) is the site of the castle of Aldershall and the castle town, surrounded by a curtain wall. Around this the town sprawls in all directions in clusters of buildings along dirt streets.
The town is the sits of many mills. There is also a market hall built by the current count's grandfather, in an effort to attract overland trade to replace the seaborn commerce.
