Rhazaadia, Angel of the Exiled

"I can feel it. The veins of everybody here. Their souls, that I can feel. Croma may have blessed me, but I have blessed them. Me. Not her. She is a pretender after all. If she can call herself a goddess, despite there being others in her place before, why can't I become what she wished to be, herself?"
- Archangel Rhazaadia, before waging war onto Croma, and ultimately, the New Gods.
New Gods have many purposes for the world of Aitso. They cannot be in command of everything. Due to this blatant fact, they'd each plan out how to make sure the world that they made was one that stayed intact, away from pure chaos. Beings like Sol had made his form known to all of Aitso, making his worshippers more devout, and as a warning to any other person who wished to go against what he stands for. Some got more creative for their ways of trying to keep Aitso intact. One of these people was Croma, Goddess of Light, who had formed five divine beings, each with purpose, and representing different colours. One of these was for the innovative lands of Erialla. For here, Croma had made manifest an archangel, capable of projecting energy from her palms, made to protect the lands. Alas, Croma gave innovation to a being with no proper kindness. Rhazaadia was an explorer, inventor, warrior, but had no time for being a carer, a protector, or an Angel.
When given a physical form, Rhazaadia was melded to fit the average humanoid of Erialla. Her form does have some changes from the average citizen of the area, of course. The main changes from Rhazaadia and an elf would be her large wings, shining with the light she was blessed with by Croma, as well as piercing, shiny blue eyes, often found in other deities and beings with close relation to deities in Aitso. Melinoë, Goddess of Nightmares is one example of this, along with her close friend Hypnos. However, there is more to her person that others may have not known from just a first look. The dorsal side to her hands are covered in small runes, coloured purple. These are the origin of her energy-based abilities, which project from her own hands. Also, whenever harmed, like most angels, Rhazaadia does not bleed, but instead leaks out a purple light, which can turn into the form of a fire-like plasma, which is debated to be lighter than air, as it raised up to the skies. Some scholars, mainly acolytes, see this as her essence returning to the thrones of the gods, instead of the scientific explanation for this. She also has no innards of a mortal, it is completely energy. Her skin is soft but after a small lair of soft, unknown materials, it is like a bone in density and to touch.
Rhazaadia has the ability to create spectral body parts, from her own. These can be use to fight at a distance, or to temporarily graft onto her allies for boosted strength, speed, or even the ability to fly. Her magical powers reigned supreme in Erialla, and had even inspired others to learn magic. Without the kindness needed for a guardian though, she became obsessed with exploration, and ultimately, domination. She took the reigns of Erialla into her own hands, and expanded it past all of the desert around it, reaching to the coasts, as well as the borders to previous kingdoms, before their annexation into Erialla. Then, in her explorations, she found old statues in dedication to old gods. Her conquest was placed on hold, and she questioned Croma on what it means. It was here she found out about the successful uprising, and that the dominant deities of Aitso are not what they seem to be. Furious, she would attack Croma out of rage, and badly wound them, too. After this point, Rhazaadia would try to stage a secondary uprising against the New Gods, just as they did.
When Rhazaadia was made, she was depicted as the common colours of pink and purple, by Croma, Goddess of Light. Along with her angelic prowess, this violent angel would use the technological prowess found within the culture of Erialla to maintain light made manifest as soldiers. In her conquest against direct followers of Croma, she used them as cannon fodder, with her main attempt of her work being to weaken the divine power through worship that Croma is given. Across her years of conquest, Croma's attention would soon be piqued, and their ultimate battle would end with a large portion of the newly conquered land by Rhazaadia being washed away by a tidal wave, caused by the Ocean Gods that Croma had enlisted. The Goddess of Light's partner, Sol , had also enlisted their youngest daughter together, Solis , along with the Avatar of the Sun, Ílios , to defeat Rhazaadia. The two avatars of close gods was one for the ages, akin to the battles involving Anatole. Whilst Solis could not do much in comparison to the two war-scarred avatars, it was her aid to Ílios which drove him to destroying Rhazaadia, having dispersed her into pure light, to be inflicted upon the landscapes of the wastelands to the east of Erialla.

Legacy

Rhazaadia's conquest is her greatest form of relevance with the expansive set of history in Erialla. Having turned it from a kingdom of inspiration and mechanical wonder to one of growth, fear, and into essentially an empire. The angel's conquest had caused many different races to join Erialla's territory through annexation and conflict. Sand Shifters turned from a nomadic race to ones that often stole weapons of magical artifice, being known as the race of the black markets in Erialla. Whereas Gargoyles that held resemblances of sentience and culture had been exiled from the rocky regions they once lived in, which had become quarries to build temples, pyramids, and titans of stone. Most of this has been washed away into ruins, by tidal waves caused by calamities from the Ocean Gods.
