Sol
I am the dawn. The light that touches all that resembles our world. The light that heals the wastelands, brings life to all corners of the lands. But I am also fire. The vengeful flame that burns those who jeopardise this perfect world. The suns knows no bounds. If you fly too close, then I will burn you.Sol is the God of the Suns, for the New Aitsonian Deities. As part of the supposed 'New Wave' of gods, Sol depicts different aspects than the old gods did. Where the pantheon once held power through the worship of Day or the Sky, Sol had instead depicted the Sun. Connotations with the suns are also represented through Sol, at times, but these are mostly considered through other gods. Sol takes the form of his old, mortal self, of a human wearing the robes and equipment of a monk from his homeland. The god also wielded a burnt quarterstaff, one which he made during his first day after his ascension. Sol sees the world as perfect, all of life that falls under the sun is life that he deems valuable. Each life that needs the sun is what he considers his followers, as ultimately, they need the sun to survive. Predominantly, Sol is worshipped on Aitso, but it is not uncommon for his followers to branch towards areas like Laniwick, Tyffon, and other worlds.- Sol, God of the Suns, to the God of Torture, Rallaster
Sol holds great power, as a god he holds the abilities to control the flames at a strength matching his own will, which is in turn boosted by the faith of his followers. Any form of fire is a form that he can control. This also includes lava, heat, and the suns. Despite this, Sol only relies on his core skills when he may be engaged in a fight, unless he is given no other option. As Sol sees the world as perfect, he wishes not to destroy any of it. His fighting style is compromised solely through non-lethal strikes, often directed through open-palm strikes which aim to disarm, or knock his opponents prone. The Sun God's fighting style is known as Pyre Pacem. It is often taught to monks that worship Sol. Despite this, the god has a plethora of alternative forms of combat for opponents, both for those that he holds back against as well as ones that he considers jeopardising the warmth of the worlds, and ones that do not. If his opponent is considered to be a warrior by fate, then Sol is able to take control over their movements and physical body. This reigns over warforged, monsters, undead, as well as the normal, sentient warrior. During all of his fights, Sol makes graceful attacks, sweeps, and prefers the creative liberties that combat is willing to give. When handling threats to all, however, Sol has shown no signs of holding back. In one case, Sol had unleashed a smite upon an Astral Dreadnought that had sworn to devour the essences of Aitso's life, which killed it in an instant.
To other deities that do not encompass either the new Aitsonian Pantheon or Sol's family, Sol does not interact with them much. Even if they hold followers on Aitso, Sol has not considered them as deities to confer with. However, as he is god of the sun, he has permitted short moments with other deities to worlds that the suns interact with, if they also interact with Aitso in any meaningful way. The main example of this is Laniwick, the closest planet to Aitso's orbit.
Divine Realm
Sol lives within a demiplane off the edges of Elysium, named Domin of the Sun. Said to mirror with The Flowing Reservoir , Sol's realm resembles a grand palace, ornate with metal sculptures and pillars holding up halls and courtyards. It acts as a home for himself, as well as his family, including the Demigoddess Solis . Also, it is the afterlife given to many acolytes and worshippers of Sol, under the discretion that they do not eternally rest there. As it is a place of pure divinity, it requires no cleaning. The materials are in a constant state of cleanliness. Also, miniature suns keep the entire demiplane well lit, spread evenly across each hall, as well as making up most of the views from courtyards. As it acts as the home for the family line of the Sun God, Sol lets any relatives enter freely, as well as leave. This invitation also extends to Laneth , one of the other Divine Beings that he holds a dear connection to.Divine Domains
As God of the Suns, Sol has the domain over many associated areas, including Daylight, Stars, Heat, and of course, Fire. As a generalisation, Sol encompasses anything associated with the warm embrace of day.
