The Polish Socialist Republic

Polish Socialist Republic is a state under the leadership of Julian Marchlewski.

History:

After the Soviet victory in the Polish-Soviet war, the Soviet Union decide not pursue outright annexation do to extremely high resistance. Instead, Trotsky proposed a Polish Communist State to Sovietize the region in order to later absorb into the union becoming an SSR. This was approved in July 1919, setting up The Polish Socialist Republic with Julian Marchlewski being appointed as the leader tasked with restoring and enforcing The Communist Party of Poland's influence in the country.

The Polish Socialist Republic also allowed the Soviets to send arms across their borders to smuggle into Germany and Czechoslovakia to fund underground movement's. They were also trying to crush The Polish Liberation Army led by former Chief Józef Piłsudski since 1919.

They sent arms to The Hungarian Soviet Republic to help fight off Romania which eventually lost the war to Hungry later that year.

When the German Civil War broke out in March 1920 after the Kapp Putsch, they along with The Soviet Union gave arms to newly proclaimed, The German Soviet Republic lead by the communists under Paul Levi.

In August 1921, Czechoslovakia finally fell to a communist revolution, allowing The Hungarian Soviet Republic and Czechoslovakia to enter a ceasefire. Both Communist States calling for the Soviets to meditate the territorial dispute, Julian Marchlewski told Lenin, "Poland supports whatever the Soviets decides".

The Soviet Union eventually sided with Czechoslovakia with Vladimir Lenin persuading Béla Kun to withdraw in exchange for promised Yugoslavian land's, if war broke out. Julian Marchlewski praised Lenin for his diplomatic approach within the international communist front, believing he was laying foundations for a united front against the Capitalist west and liberate the restore of europe.

Worsening Situation:

After The German Civil War became a stalemate by 1922. Both side's proclaimed a ceasefire in order to rebuild, as both populations were exhausted by war. To strengthen, The German Soviet Republic, Lenin ordered Poland to transfer all former German lands that belonged to former German Empire.

This was to weaken Polish nationalism and prop up Germany as new proletariat defenders in Europe.

Despite this, it worsened the already unpopular The Communist Party of Poland among the Polish people and resistance intensified as The Polish Liberation Army boasted in the south. The Soviet's started increasing the troop number's to back Julian Marchlewski's government, increasing the state's dependency on them.

However, by now many within the KPP were having doubts about loyalty to the Soviets, and some were wishing to distance themselves from them. One of these men was Kazimierz Cichowski, advocating "Polish Socialism" by blending Polish Nationalism with Socialist idea's including to renegotiate the land transfer of East Prussian lands back to Poland.

By 1923, The Polish Socialist Republic is struggling to keep the population in control, and The KPP is growing increasing divided between more nationalist elements against The Soviet Union.

Internal Politics:

Within the KPP, the land transfer to The German Soviet Republic sparked an internal revolt against Julian Marchlewski lead by Kazimierz Cichowski who calls on him to resign and to distance themselves from The Soviet Union. The majority, of Poles, viewed the land transfer as illegal and do not recognize it as legitimate.

There is an active underground movement, The Polish Liberation Army, led by Józef Piłsudski, who fled to the south, after The Second Republic's collapse in the Soviet-Polish war. They have capture and hold territory along the Czechoslovakian Border. This resistance has only worsened against the state, forcing them to repeatedly having to use Soviet forces, furthering the Socialist Republic's dependency on the Union.

Unionist/Leninists: Led by Julian Marchlewski, who believe that Poland has much to gain by remaining completely loyal to the Soviet's.

Polish Socialists: Led by Kazimierz Cichowski, who believe that Poland must distance themselves from The Soviet Union and an adopt Polish Socialism by blending Polish Nationalism with Socialist idea's. While they do not wish to cut off the Union, they wish to make it clear that Poland will remain out of the Soviet's plans to become an SSR.

The Polish Liberation Army: Led by Józef Piłsudski, they hold small parts of the country in the south, who still claim to be the continuation of the Second Republic they are the most dangerous to the Socialist Republic's survival.
