Julian Marchlewski

Julian Marchlewski is a prominent Polish communist and Marxist. Marchlewski was a close ally of Lenin and an experienced revolutionary before his rise to power. He Is the leader of The Polish Socialist Republic to enforce "Sovietization" through The Communist Party of Poland (KPP) to later integrate Poland into an SSR.

Background:

Born in 1866 in Włocławek, in the Russian-controlled Polish territories, Marchlewski grew up during a period of heightened nationalist and socialist ferment. His education exposed him to radical ideas, leading to his involvement in revolutionary activities. He was a founding member of the Social Democracy of the Kingdom of Poland and Lithuania (SDKPiL), which later merged with the Bolshevik Party.

October Revolution:

During the 1917 October Revolution, Marchlewski supported Lenin and the Bolsheviks, helping to establish their dominance in the revolutionary movement. His deep understanding of Polish affairs made him a trusted advisor on issues related to Poland. After the Bolshevik victory in the Russian Civil War in 1918, Marchlewski became instrumental in Soviet plans to spread communism into Poland.

Leader:

By the end of July 1919, Poland was crushed, and the Baltic States were annexed into SSR's. With all the former territories of the former Russian Empire, The Soviet Union stood as a powerful force but needed to rebuild. Polish resistance was so extreme that annexation would have prolonged or spark another uprising. So Trotsky, proposed, reducing Poland to and establish a Polish Communist Government to help sovietize the region to later integrate into union, to become an SSR. This was approved later by Lenin, setting up The Polish Socialist Republic appointing, Julian Marchlewski, tasked with restoring order by enforcing the occupation forces.

Julian reset up the KPP and started to enforce crackdown's on "counter-revolutionaries" of the old government. Julian being pro-Moscow and approved of the Soviet plan, believing it benefited Poland by later becoming an SSR. He also allowed, the Soviets to smuggle arms across the Polish border to the German (Weimar Republic) and Czechoslovakia to fund underground communist resistances.

Do to do, continuing smuggling arm operations across the border to aid a communist uprising in Czechoslovakia, eventually helped them overthrow the government.

The new communist Czechoslovak government lead by Klement Gottwald entered into a ceasefire with The Hungarian Soviet Republic, calling on the Soviets to meditate. Lenin came to Prague, supporting the idea of the Czech's Slovak being united. He was able to convince Béla Kun to withdraw from the occupied Slovakia. Juil celebrated Lenin's achievement, to work towards peace, believing Lenin was promoting unity within the growing international communist movement.

Split:

This, respect of Lenin and the Soviet's was, quickly, overshadowed when the German Civil War ended by early 1922. Lenin then ordered he gave all the land formerly under the former German Empire to The German Soviet Republic. Kazimierz Cichowski protested Lenin's decision, saying it will escalate tensions between the Pole's, the Germans, worrying about worsting nationalism on both sides. Julian Marchlewski however approved the decision, sparking an ongoing party revolt against him.

The transfer worsened Juilan's and The Communist Party of Poland 's popularity with the soviet occupation. With the Soviets increasing with troop numbers to counter growing unrest.

By 1923, there is growing opposition movement against Julian Marchlewski, there are many within the KPP, mainly led by Kazimierz Cichowski, who want to reverse and take back lands they gave to The German Soviet Republic. There is also an underground movement, The Polish Liberation Army led by Józef Piłsudski.

Time is running out, can Juilan come out on top?
