Weaving
"Concepts can be weaved, which is much simpler than molding. If you clump some concepts together, they can make for a connection to one another without affecting their properties"
Terminology
Weaving is the act of taking two concepts and attaching them without them changing each other, e.g., shadow, reflection can be weaved into a "reflecting shadow" concept.
Weave is what the result of the weave is called.
Weft is what the intertwined concepts are called.
The basics
To create a simple weave, one must take at least two concepts, preferably well separated in the Ædean plane, then intertwine them into a weft. Such complex idea can then be attached to the physical object to link the modifications to its immaterial image in Ædeos.
To do this, one must go through several steps:
- Examine the object and its ability to change to the desired state. (This will reveal the difficulty of the task the weaver will have to deal with)
- Reach for the concepts that will form a weft. These can be physical objects that are connected to the idea (the easy way) or abstract concepts linked directly by entering Ædeos (the hard way). This part can be further broken into two steps:
- forced ascend of the concepts, either from a material or immaterial body
- intertwining in the Adhair to create a weft
- Attach the weft to the physical object. This calls for a Descend of the weft into the heart of the physical object. The deeper the weft is anchored, and the more connections it forms and the better and longer the effect will become.
Simple may be deceiving
"You may laugh all you want, but since the incident I picture things as a complex cordage. Birds, plants, emotions... everything! The world is a beautifully spun web of seen and unseen," her eyes burned with excitement but Hithéan picked up vibrations of sadness, fear and distance."Or were these vibrations the little wefts I now notice in the bigger picture?" He pondered, quiet for a moment too long."Am I boring you Hithy or is there something you want to add?" Her fingers itched with a growing need of making a weave or two. "I should take his sight again but maybe for a little longer this time," she thought."Your words untwine with an fiery shadow," he gave her a calm look. She seemed vulnerable for a brief moment, he took note right before losing his sight.
The complexity of the weave is strongly dependent on the purity of the concept — one can view any object or an abstract concept as a thread with many smaller threads sticking out. It is an irony that the weaving process itself is the easiest with pure concepts, but the availability of such is extremely limited. Usually what suffices is to fray the unneeded concepts. This is often done by a step-by-step generalisation, e.g., fire is warm, fire is the source of warmth, something unknown is the source of warmth. At each level new concept threads can stick out and spoil the work. Extracting the particular concept thread is therefore a cumbersome task and one will often purchase the purified concepts from specialists, e.g., Tamers of Æter in the case of abstract Ædean concepts but merchants for physically available sources, like Brìgh fiodha for wood concept or Meòganach for falsity. In rare cases, connection to the abstract concepts is a tradition passed down to younger generations, e.g., Lotus harvesters and their connection to the blue lotus through the blood lotus ritual.
Independence of the weaves
The weaves can be broken down into two basic categories, namely independent and dependent.
Independent
The independent weaves lose the connection to the Weaver once the creation process ends and they are not influenced by their creator's mind unless additional interaction is engaged. As such, they are more similar to physical ropes or cordages. All changes they undergo are related to the objects and environment they interact with after being created.
Dependent
Dependent weaves, however, are more akin to charms and spells — more pliable than independent weaves but in the same time require a greater amount of focus to handle. In that manner they resemble a living creature, which is in constant motion through interaction with the environment and its creator. One moment everything is well organized, the next it spirals out of control.
Perception matters
Some concepts can be initially seen as molded, while for a sharp eye it will unfold as a weave. This is often the case of young skalds, who have not yet gained enough experience and amassed too little knowledge to see certain patterns. Whether a concept is a result of molding or weaving is a matter of perception and the ability and the degree to view molded concepts as weaves is a sign of greatness among the skalds.
My brain still struggles to wrap itself around it all, but I can already say that I love the philosophical angle of this. I especially like the idea of purifying concepts by stripping away unnecessary sub-concepts, and the fact that great skalds can see more and more concepts as weaves.

I need to polish the explanation part more too. It is more or less to mimic the real-life mechanism of seeing more and more details while gaining knowledge. And then showed from a perspective of researching concepts/ideas. Alas, a quick and easy introduction is needed and on its way. ^^
