Mushtree Fen
Geography
Mushtree Fen is a forested swamp with several shallow pools of somewhat brackish but relatively pure water. It is surrounded on all sides by an ebony forest, and is within an hour's walking distance from Miellanon. Wisteria sallow, tall birches, and several mushtree species grow here, accompanied by their related undergrowth features including grasses and budding mushrooms. The colourful folliage and caps are contrasted against the dull, dark brown soil, which is loamy and rich in nutrients.
Fauna & Flora
Tall birch trees, wisteria sallow, Teal Caps, Keetaspores, and False Teal Caps grow here, scattered around the pools of water. However, the birches prefer to stay near the edges of the fen and grow nearer to the ebony forest, and the False Teal Caps and Green Mushtrees are relatively uncommon compared to the Teal Cap and Keetaspore mushtrees. The wisteria sallows grow right beside the water and are surrounded by [lament grasses], lily pads, [ether grasses] and [ether bushes], and small shrubs. The teal caps are surrounded by [warped roots], [warped mushrooms], [imparius mushrooms], and some upwards-growing, self-supported [warped vines]. The keetas are surrounded by [ether (grass)], [crimson roots], and [crimson mushrooms]. The Green Mushtrees are surrounded by moss, small puffball mushrooms, small brown mushrooms, ferns, and white anemone flowers. The false teal caps are surrounded by [warped sprouts], [warped mushrooms], [purple bulbis oddities], and some [imparius vines] which grow on the mushrooms themselves.
Tourism
Mushtree Fen isn't neccessarily a tourist attraction in and of itself, but it is a favourite local picnic spot. Travellers particularly interested in mushtrees are usually the ones who specifically seek it out, and they typically find lodgings in @Miel for the duration of their visit.
