Askela is a small nation nestled between Drette on the north-western border, Shrantlig on the south-east border, and the ocean on the north-east border.
Unbeknownst to its inhabitants, there are several great cities, settlements, and a sizable collection of extraordinary monuments, stelai, shrines, and sanctuaries that have been constructed in vast caverns deep underground. These are the remnants of a powerful civilisation lost to time. Discovery and exploration of these ruins would provide great insight into Askela's past, of which much has been lost due to natural disasters. Askeens' lack of understanding of their ancient history is a sore point with other countries who consider them to therefore be foundationless and even weak.

Religion

Askela is a secular society, with most Askeens being agnostic or atheist. However, Christianity is common and its morals are part of the society's foundations.
