Humans are omnivores and must eat a wide range of food types in order to be well-nourished, including grains and/or other high-fibre foods, fruits, vegetables, meat and/or high-protein foods, and dairy. However, many individuals have food intolerances which render them unable to properly digest some foods (e.g. containing lactose, gluten, etc.).
