Session 8

by Assistant Archivist Rhodri Windcrow

After some downtime we packed up and headed towards Easthaven. We encountered a pair of Yeti along the way eatting from a frozen Axebeak and overturned sled. Choosing to engage them over the contents of the sled, we spread out and attacked the Yeti. We incapacitated it and scavenged the sled before moving on.

Mayalee told us that the mother of the murdered girl approached her at the elf party and questioned why she didn't use the resurrection potion on her daughter. This is something we've not really spread around that we have. So not sure how that information leaked out, unless someone was spying on us when i Identified the potion.

The two places to stay within the city re the White Lady Inn and The Wet Trout.

Went to the speaker's house, a human woman named Prudence Tarkwold seems to assist the speaker. Mayalee mad an appointment to speak with the speaker the next day if we can clear some things off the speaker's docket for tomorrow.

We have to collect taxes from a ferryman, whose ferry got stuck in the ice, we need to get a new busking form filled out by a local performer, and drop a package off to someone at the White Lady.

Avarice was at the Wet Trout, apparently she may have planted some bad information that sent her rival groups to Lonelywood, while she headed to Easthaven.
Vince Barton was the one who had his shardaline stolen.

We couldn't help the ferryman but managed to wrap up things with the other two. We stayed at the White Lady and were invited to a seance at midnight.

The next day we went and spoke with the speaker, they provided a little bit of info they had on the murders.

We got involved in the investigation of some missing fishermen, we rescued on from a shape shifter on a small island. We brought him back to land and discovered he was not a part of the 4 that vanished. So we will be heading back out to find the others, we also looked into the statue the speaker had set aside in an office, a Ghost emerged from it and attacked us. We fended it off, but apparently it possessed Verrick. That night I caught him sneaking out to the lake and tried to stop him. He attempted to stab me so i fire bolted him. The ghost leapt out of his body and sank into the water, leaving Verrick, gravely wounded from the fight before and then my bolt, on death's door. Thankfully I got him back to the inn quickly enough for healing to be applied.
