Session 11
We brought Verrick up to speed on what happened while he was out.
Evelyn shared more of her story about the person masquerading as the sheriff of Targos. Some paladin named Gavrin Verril . She fought with him and left him for dead in the snow after he tried to kill her, so he may still be alive.
We went back to the speaker's house and found Scython the ferryman is the new assistant while the ferry is out of commission.
The man on the nightmare is an acquaintance of Mayalee's he was escorted out of town, though mostly due to the disturbance of his frightening mount and it's presence.
We left town and camped out on the road. We were awoken by an attacking Owlbear, we managed to take it down without too much trouble and Evelyn was able to collect it's pelt. Might be worth something in the next town.
We reached Caer Dineval.
We stopped in at the Uphill Climb, but they are not taking travelers for stay.
The guards at the castle tried to turn us away. This is obviously some sort of ploy to keep people out, I doubt the speaker is sick, or possibly even alive.
We ran into a drow seeming bounty hunter named Cailley. She's after a boy that's been taken by the cult to return them home. She doesn't seem keen to help on a direct approach but is willing to assist in a distraction. There are somewhere around 12 guards on the walls. 2 -3 per tower.
We sought refuge in the abandoned inn, upon investigating the space we were attacked by a group of invisible dwarves.
