Physical Description

Six feet of lean thick muscle, strong, and swift. A well rounded athlete.

His skin looks like smoothly carved gray granite, speckled with white and black.

Facial Features

Marbled white eyes with no clear iris or pupil. His head is shaved smooth. With rocky ridges for brows. His face is rugged with a thick nose.

Apparel & Accessories

He wears a mostly green with some black segments, and a nearly amber yellow trim and sashed, cloth uniform of the Khaian Fist’s “Walking Quest” uniform, indicating he walks the world seeking wisdom. He wears a traditional monk short sword meant for piercing and slashing, as well as kunai (small throwing knives) at his waist.

Mentality

Personal history

Arsahm was born in a small town in western grasslands of the Fwan Union. Born to farmers, one year their came a famine. He, his sister Nennari, and brother Zulad were sent to The Monastery of the Wounded Mother (Khaian Druidism monastery) deeper west towards the Se-Zed border, to help the family survive and develop their own skills.
 
Arsahm was accepted to apprentice to the Order of the Khaian Fist (monk, way of the open hand) branch.
 
He studied there, learning the ways of the monk, picking up Shadowtongue and Mullish (Dwarven) to assist in trading in town and keeping records. Eventually he was transferred to an ancient Khaian ruin, where he was one of a team of caretakers. He learned masonry tools and worked on restoring the ruin. A number of the ruins were covered in celestial writing, and one of the monastery’s best historians, Mother Esa Tazorel taught him the celestial language.
 
Within the ruins was a series of catacombs with a great number of relief sculptures that involved complicated diagrams, images, and celestial writing, that Mother Esa was focused upon. Arsahm also became interested and took his own notes.
 
Arsahm became fairly certain that it seemed to be related to a number of prophecies that indicated the return of the Outsider’s forces en masse. By his interpretation it would happen with the next quarter century. Possibly shorter. He brought it to Mother Esa who argued at length that there is too little data to much such conclusions and that years more research was needed.
 
Arsahm was crestfallen but kept assisting, taking more of his own notes. In time he began to see a key figure that reminded him of himself. It was named Stonefist Faminechild in his best translation of celestial. Stonefist was destined to unlock a number of secrets that would aid the forces of light to defeat the sources of darkness. Everything he saw seemed to reaffirm his theories, but he struggled with the egocentricity of thinking he might be this Stonefist. It was impossible.
 
He brought things to Mother Esa again, and she while quite kind about it, patted his head and dismissed him for the same reasons as before.
 
Within a few weeks he had just had to find out if it were true and left the ruins, with a note behind him, seeking his destiny.
 
A few days later he ran into a caravan being overrun by a very large Gnoll Clan - The Mireclaw Clan.
 
He aided the caravan, which ended up actually being the mercenary band, Revenant House. He did so well, he joined them for awhile. There he befriended several of the mercenaries and worked with them.
 
After a particularly bad job, Arsahm’s heart could not condone remaining with the Revenant House. He and his new friends went AWOL and fled to the town of Far Falls in the Federation of Free Cities.

Education

Educated in the ways of the Order of the Khaian Fist, knowledgeable of healing, the uses of herbs, and religions. He is also a skilled mason having worked on rebuilding the ruined holy site of Khaia.

Employment

Order of the Khaian Fist, and former mercenary of House Revenant.

Mental Trauma

A famine 10 years ago that forced his farming family to give he and his brother and sister to the monastery was pretty upsetting, but he knew they loved him and has come to peace with that.

Intellectual Characteristics

Arsahm is bright and wise for his age and experience, but not a genius. He expresses himself in simple country words even if his thoughts run deeper. He prefers simplicity.

He was raised in Khaian Druidism and the monastery’s teachings. He is concerned with right and wrong, but also has this odd feeling that things will work out, even while he knows there’s no guarantee of fairness.
