Last time we left off, the party of monsters still yet unknown to the world enjoyed a laid back beach mission with only a bit of killing and vomit involved. After deciding to take an easy job of clearing out a few merloks, the party managed to with ease, defeat and destroy the village of creatures. Though there secondary mission would fall flat as the gnolls they had been hunting would be swallowed up by the sea or rather the giant kracken like creature in the sea. Realizing it wasn't worth collecting the bodies, the group would return back to the hive city as they awaited there next orders.
Last time we left off, the party had just managed to wrap up the morph troll slaying quest they had been given by Zebrel himself. With the mission completed, the party attempted to convince Zebrel that no foul play had occurred while unknowingly having one of there party members reporting the entire situation. With an attempted lie by Doots himself, the party found themselves rewarded and while the majority contemplated where babies came from. Zebrel offered Doots a choice, as he made his decision to join the hive, the party now had to accept that half of them were under Zebrels direct command. While also realizing many nations with there hatred for mind flayers would make traveling far more difficult going forward. Though with that in mind, and choices made, the party headed out on there latest quest to capture a living mass of limbs that had been informed was back where the party had initially fought. Though as they began to head out, with Doots unconscious and his head stuck through a fey portal on Ton Ton's back, they would learn the unfortunate truth with the help of Doot's mothers tamed Toad Trollbane. Who would inform the party prior to there leaving that a red dragon had attacked and enslaved Doots home village. With this new information in mind, the party though slightly distracted would head out to capture the living mass of limbs and save it just in time from the spidery hordes. As the party returns to the city, they were hailed as heros in a triumph and now aimed to finally head outside of the city, the party gathers to prepare.
Last time we left off, the party had an exciting time fighting a group of spiders that had managed to track them down after a large morph troll battle. Though the party would find themselves annoyed, all except Melvin who had gained a healthy fear of web shooting creatures. Though as the party would manage to succeed allowing for three of the creatures to retreat, they would find themselves handsomely rewarded for there troubles. With the deposit of there found toth hostage now complete, they party and there new found wealth would spend some time around town avoiding having there lunch outgrow them while commissioning a few new items for themselves. Now we return with the party outfitted, having been fed and rested at the inn, and ready to set out to complete there morph troll hunt, there gear delivered to there rooms before setting out.
Last time we left off, the party had decided to follow the trail of the other morph trolls in hopes of completing there quest. However, unbeknownst to them the twenty they had counted seemed to have shrunk to ten. And while two were easily cornered and another two taken down by Ton Ton, the leader would attempt to force the party into a tight squeeze. Though with some quick thinking and a few good rolls, Gygax would easily managed to scare off the leader in his fancy leather armor. Causing the rest of the trolls who had followed to flee as well. The group would give chase, managing to corner the remaining six trolls and a strange white dressed veiled creature that would later turn out to be a toth supposedly having arrived here with a mysterious Bardrus creature. Though the man could not be found, the party would begin there return to the city to rest of and bring the troll hostage with them, even after his insistence to be let free. Though as the party was fleeing, the sounds of dangerous spiders could be heard and the strange crackling of stone around them begins to make the ground shake.
Last time the party left off by eating the ass of a morph troll and its shocked head, along with anothers arms. As the party was rewarded for there efforts they chose instead to take information and pastries over magic items. Having surmized that further morph trolls would be deeper in the mines, the party sets out to go and fight more of the creatures and find out about the strange larger of the group that seemed to be almost commanding them as Doots would see.
The party would start out like most, you all came from vastly different backgrounds with no knowledge or understanding of one another. Though as every good story, the party must start somewhere. And our story starts about a year prior when the first two party members would meet. Firstly our adventurers Ton-Ton and Doots, (introduce your characters), as Ton-Ton would begin his world traveling, unbenownst to him, upon his back a small mushroom circle would grow, and through that a connection to the domain of the fey. As the days went on, one afternoon Ton-Ton you would find yourself with a suddenly large passanger upon your back who had come with the most unique smelling basket of pastries. As the two of you began your travels together, a shared bond of sweets would develop between the two as you continued. Next we have Melvin and Gygax, (introduce your characters), as is common for most beholders, Melvin would spend a decent amount of time exploring to find a lair to call home. Upon one fateful day, a small chest would catch Melvin's eye for its unique design, though wary of all things, Melvin like any other would take the box with him but place it in a sack just in case. One day after realizing many of his belongings had gone missing, Melvin finally met the small mimic. Though familiar with the fact that some nations sold and domesticated mimics, Melvin believed finally he had gained a friend, and Gygax had finally gained a steady supply of free food. The two would begin traveling together still searching for a new land to call home where Melvin would not be attacked. And could learn to study how to defend himself like the beholders of legend. As the two parties find themselves drawn to the legendary lands of the illthid, one for sweets yet tasted, another for a place to call home. We come to our last party member, Balthasar, (introduce yourself), as you find yourself managing to have just arrived on the surface, you appear slightly startled and rushed. But see two groups of people and remember that adventurers are never looked upon as suspicious. As you turn, you run to the two parties and inform them that there are dangerous creatures on the island as you bring the two parties together to "join you" as an adventuring party. As the groups meet, a weary but small feast is had as the groups are brought together by Balthasar's sweet words and warm aura. You find yourselves now gathered as a small party of five on the island of the illthid collective, just south of his known territory by the collective of pyrus.
