The era of mist is an uncomfortable one with many disputes.
Leading into the era of Mist is the force-field like creation colloquially a shield.
The main disaster of the Era of Mist; a never-ending illness inflicted by the imovable shield.
The death of an important figure. Viewed by some as a national hero, by others as a danger.
As people were dropping like flies, people from the south migrated to the north, where there lived less people (at that time).
The vampires were running out of healthy blood. So they started sucking everything they could from the healthy. They grabbed a few humans and fleed to the mountains.
The elves had suddenly and unprompted been betrayed on that fateful night when the Pitans had gotten their sub-gods to destroy an elven city, and had allied themselves with an evil race, that was exiled for their crimes.
Fleeing the island really is foolish. The ones who didn't know this were never seen again.
With the magic concentration at its highest, people was in deep discord. Even when the shield got it's first crack and it got easier to breathe, a confrontation was unavoidable. The first crack is estimed to have appeared in 695.
Expeditions went out to search for a course of the new pressure. They found some cracks, though out of reach, but they began to dream of the outside. Many expeditions were sent out over these years.
During this period the Japanese had colonized Nitayo, and kept them hidden from the rest of the world. But they had problems. Firstly, there was an out of control criminal organisation, that was stronger than they had thought. Secondly, the people were becoming restless and annoyed with their leaders.
One day a village mysteriously disappeared or warped out of existence, leaving only ruins and one furious survivor.
The blue days was a revolt, a long battle and an eyeopener. It began in response to the injustice of the colonists, but by the end it was unclear who was the ones in the wrong. A new culture came into its own during these days, and it also gave Nitayo independance.
