The story takes place in the New World, inhabited mostly by humans and monsters. Many monsters live among the humans in the New World, and to an extent tries to hide from them. The monsters aren't too cautious though, and often humans will know a little about them. To elaborate in the New World, on the island Nitayo right beside Japan, magic once suddenly appeared, and most of it was contained. A duty that has now been taken up by TGG. The rest of the world rarely has interactions with magic. Why did magic come Nitayo? Who knows, maybe it was attracted to the legends, the monsters or something else entirely. To differentiate the monsters from the humans we must go back to the New Worlds begnings. When dinosaurs were walking on the earth both angels and demos were quite fascinated by them, so they went down and changed the dinosaurs to suit their tastes. One day timetravellers showed up and caused the dinosaurs to become extinct, and therefore making the demons and angels lose interest.
