Tjiongnji (Green people)

The Tjiongnji are all about innovation. They are settlers, who were bent on making a better system for the Lohntpil, but they wouldn't listen, and the Tjiongnji secluded themselves in the sense that they don't speak much to people on the street or advocate. The Tjiongnji are known for their awesome parties. The Tjiongnji likes to gossip and are very active. They are always fresh and moves quickly. Tjiongnji are business people. They like to balance everything, and has a very staple community by now. But even with that the Lohntpil still see them as inexperienced in living on Nitayo. But that just makes them try even harder to develop on the island. The Tjiongnji like to keep the peace, but once in a while it is impossible for them, and then there is but one thing to do. RUN. The anger or jealousy of a Tjiongnji is the worst you could ever imagine. The Tjiongnji do not talk to each other very much about problems, so they have all these minor irritations left unresolved, so this is why they sometimes, speaking figuratively, explode.

Common Customs, traditions and rituals

Work environment

The Tjinongnjis ancestors have always hated the way work was framed, so they decided to bring more fellowship into the mix. You are not likely to find the Tjinongnji working within a cramped office, but rather spacious buildings with large windows with views to nature. They are generally quite noisy when working, and there is no designated seating so they walk around to one another to get feedback or chat. If a person would want some quiet they would have to go to some silent rooms. They hold mourning meetings where they distribute the work based on needs and discuss what else they need to, and through out the day often group up to discuss.

The streets

The Tjinongnji usually walk the streets in groups of five or six, and they are watchful, because they are looking for conversation topics or someone to converse with. The streets traveled by Tjinongnji are often ones with lots of stores on the sides. This is both to search for ideas and to get the newest gadgets. Once a somebody wants to scout a store, the group will split. Some will go with inside, while the rest stay outside to keep looking.

Common Taboos

In Tjinongnji culture you are not supposed to be unhappy. You are supposed wear a giant grin all the time. And this leads to the distancing of other emotions. You are not supposed to show them. This is becoming a serious problem for them. An increasing amount of people within this ethnicity is diagnosed with depression. Many youths are also taking drugs to keep other emotions away.
It is also not considered good behavior to be showing weapons and magic of any kind in public.

Ideals

Beauty Ideals

Tjiongnji, where most likely named that for their ancestors excessive love of green. The beauty sense of the Tjiongnji are largely based in colour theory. They especially like contrasting colour-schemes. They tend to like paintings of abstract kind with geometrical patternes, and again if there are eg. neon colours in sharp contrast, it really attracts a sprouts interest.
In humans they like to see long ear flips as a sign of maturity and forfilment, clear shapes and tan.

Gender Ideals

The Tjiongnji say they are very open about gender, but might intimidate LGBTQ+ people anyway, because of their very direct method of showing this. The Tjinongnji almost treat them like men treated women in Europe back in the day. They act a bit robotic about things that fall outside the norm.

Courtship Ideals

When Tjinongnji marry they share their personal information with their partner, and they get as much of the information connected to each other as they can. They get a phone to share between them. It is mostly left at the house, it is sort of like a hometelephone, but it is a mobilephone, and is sometimes moved. That would be the case if both of them are going to the same place, or if they have a system, where they take turns carrying the common phone.
They of couse share the same adresse, unless they for some reason do not.
The Tjiongnji have also, by public request, put in place a system, where a couple can get a couple hue and number to identify themselves by.

A fondness for art

The Tjiongnji hold several musical festivals over the year with small booths filled to the brim with little charms and gewgaw. There are little performances here and there, but the paintings are very sought after. Thousands of paintings are produced every year, and bought in just as large quantities. The Tjiongnji love abstract and wild painting, but also has some stunning paintings of city life. But they aren't picky in the least, and you will often be able see homes littered with them.

Iliagal parties

Most of the parties of the Tjiongnji are house parties with small fireworks and free alcohol. And after quite a while where drugs were also able to get inside, though still not legal, the Nitayo government decided to have surveillance cameras installed in the entry of each home of Nitayo. Then to still take drugs, they went and moved their parties to the corners of the subway. These parties are a lot different. Firstly, they involve a lot of standing around and saying random things to each other. Secondly, when they aren't just standing these parties are moving across in the underground. Occasionally people are lost and this surfaces to the news to great furore.
