The blue days

The Conflict

Prelude

The decree from the government sparked a revolt from the ones known as the Pihnemt. They were the children of Lohntpil and orange people, but had the lot of the magenta. Possibly their lives were even harder. The decree made it so, that except for orange people, no one would be allowed to speak without a very special permit to answer. It is still a mystery how such a thing came to be.

Battlefield

The battle took place primarily between Vella and Himini. It is also where the Pihnemt culture emerged, and spread out behind the battlefield.

The Engagement

The Pihnemt began the fifth a battle, a revolt in response to the decree. They began attacking people known to be part of the colonization effort. Sometimes on impulse, other times with a strategy in mind. Hours after the first attack police were deployed, and soon after again forces akin to military. But the Pihnemt kept killing without mercy many days after the colonists wanted to stop. The battle only stopped when the Pihnemt realized they had won and could get their way. This was partially due to the effort of the mountain-ash speech.

Outcome

The Pihnemt gained a large area, where they could live in peace. All productivity was shut down for a few days. The government had fallen, and the land fell silent.

Aftermath

The surrounding world

With this the world had become aware of Nitayo, and was unsure how to respond. What had lead to the conflict was terrible, but the actions of the revolters were unethical. It had sent a clear statement we do what we must to gain our right, while also saying they didn't care about others right. There was also the monsters to take into account. Was humanity no longer the only intelligent creatures. How could they be treated? Or should the term be expanded to encompass the monsters as well. None of these speculations made it very far out of the political discussions, and just seemed like nonsense.

Nitayo

In Nitayo there had been created a small power vaccum that most people weren't aware of this made a way for Hateniro to take over and make a new government. After a bit of communication Nitayo was no longer a colony. The island was however very much split, and it still is. The mending has only just begun, as Nitayo also faced these same questions as the world. How was their society to be structured? There were no sub-gods, so what was the monsters?

Historical Significance

In Literature

The blue day has many books inspired by it, one simply called "the blue days", and is about a rich man loosing his business during this conflict. Another is called "Lone monster", and yet another is called "Contrast". The first is very poetic, the latter experimental.
