Yuan-Ti
Yuan-Ti are a humanoid species that resemble snakes in appearance. While the species is more Human looking in appearance they are known to have snake-like eyes and some patches of scales along their skin, as well as a forked tongue. The species is mainly found within the domain of the Abasid Caliphate within the Undying Desert. The species is most well known for its affinity to reptiles especially snakes and their immunity to poisons. The species is known generally to be quite cold in nature and seeming to lack the emotions of other species.

The Yuan-Ti are almost entirely apart of the Abasid Caliphate within the Undying Desert. They rule the caliphate as the head of the four main species found there.

History
The species is thought to have been created by the god Tarsen around the same time as the neighboring species of Dark Elves, Leonin, and Deep Gnomes. They are thought by most historians and scholars to originate somewhere within the confines of the Undying Desert although exactly where has not been determined by outside scholars. The species is thought to have come into conflict with the elves, gnomes, and leonin that also call the desert home for much of their early history until the species appears to have come out on top of the hierarchy of the three species. The species founded the Abasid Caliphate sometime after this and has ruled as the leaders of the caliphate ever since.
