Leonin
Leonin are a bestial species of humanoid appearing to resemble large lions. They hail mostly from the east and southeast of the continent of Zalas within the Undying Desert and the lands of The Dread Lords. They are distinct from the other cat-like species the Tabaxi due in part to their much large size and build but also their more natural affinity for the sands of the desert. They are typically seen as having average intelligence. They are known generally to possess a more agressive nature than most species and have a propensity for wanting to solve conflicts through physical means.

Geographic Origin and Distribution
Largely centered in the east and southeast of the continent of Zalas. The species is mostly spread throughout the Undying Desert and the Forest of Morn although they can be found in other places sparingly.

History
The species is thought to have been created by the god Tarsen around the same time as the other major species of the world. They are thought to originate within the Undying Desert and although some of the species has migrated south to the lands now under the control of The Dread Lords the bulk of the species still remains with the sands of their origin. They throughout their history have long been apart of the Abasid Caliphate within the desert but after some of the species migrated south they have become apart of the nations to rule in that area as well. In recent times the species is entrenched within the politics of the caliphate of their homeland but also with The Dread Lords of the southeast.
