After Summer Camp's busy month of writing and drawing....It's reading and feedback time! . I haven't had a lot of time for reading this Summer Camp, so now it's time to catch up with you guys and your wonderful creations!.
Memory rocks are such a nice concept!. It's really fascinating to read how an apparently simple object can have such a deep meaning and symbolism in a culture. Congratulations Frod0_baggins for this, very original article!. It inspired me to write more objects and their symbolism.
Tyrdal's article begins with a really nice quote that sets the mood for the rest of the article. Bronze wardens is a really interesting profession as well as a harsh and painful one. I love the details about their clothing and the idea of a city shinning with copper roofs would be a sight to behold!.
What can I say about this article?!. For start, the art is gorgeous (as always with Nincho's articles) and really inmersive. The layout is great and makes the article easy to read (I wish I could learn how to do these beautiful borders of the quotes of this article!). I specially loved the quotes and the description of the fight between Sugi and Keiko. I hope that Sugi finds a cure for Moriko some day!.
As with Tyrdal's article I love the little prose section at the beginning, it catched my attention and as I scrolled down and I read "Plant Knights" I thought: Oh boy this is going to be really cool!. I found the idea of knights and their "affinities" to be incredibly interesting and I love the description how these Knights are "taking care of" regarding if they are Plant or Animal knights!. Really cool and i don't know even cozy article I should say!.
Another amazing article by Mochi!!. Goliath blackfield mussels are fascinating creatures indeed!. Just look at their size, 60 meters!. I'm also fascinated by the fact that they help the planet by improving the air quality eating only dead plankton!. As with Mochi's species articles, there are so detailed that you really believe that you're reading about an actual real animal!.
Fascinating article about one of the smallest known revolts in Feidao's history. The reasons and the prelude of the conflict are very well established and explained, a shame what happened to the people of Nongdao. Can I also say how cool the containers and the header image are?.
Eclectic Temples are a very interesting concept (and type of building). Demongrey's idea of a temple where different gods can interact with each other, and where rituals are carefully performed in order not to offend any deity worshiped at the temple is fascinating. I can't imagine the stress and the pressure that priests go through so as not to incur divine wrath. Yeia is a land of many gods and religions, and Demongrey's article has shown me new ways to talk or to approach the subject of interactions between different faiths.
Teeth? is such an awesome article. The idea to begin with it's both surreal and amazing. And what I love the most about this article is its sense of humour, I laughed A LOT with the quotes and little details like: Conservation status: Don't even think about it. I swear, I haven't laughed so much with an article in a while.
All this humour doesn't hide the fact that despite their cute appearance (except for the nightmate teeth?) these creatures can be some of the most horrible ones you can imagine, and no, I wouldn't want to be near such a being no matter how cute it is. I'm glad you can destroy those little bastards the same way you can destroy your real teeth!.
The beginning of Myth-X's article reminded me a lot of my old Prehistory classes at university, explaining how pottery was discovered by the Myth folk and the revlution that it presented. Also I've to say that the myth about the discovery of pottery is really beautiful and very well written!. The social impact section and especially liked the myth of Obo, the Empty Vessel. Another detail that I like about this article is that it even has a price table in the sidebar!!, which is a nice and inmersive addition to the article, in my opinion.
Cloudrafts are such a clever and imaginative means of transport! And I love the idea that they are made of exclusively recycled materials!. I especially liked the section that explains how these vehicles not designed for people with fear of heights actually work. I also find the new designs of Cloudrafts to be very interesting because they not only reduced the manpower necessary to operate them but also help preserve the vital anchors points!. Cato's article has reminded me of the glaring lack of articles in my world about travel and transportation, something I'll have to work on!!.
Some excellent choices in here, Callyxtus!
