Leisl Dullah was the biological mother of Princess Nora Dell, and the only parent of any of the seven royal children of Queen Dianthe Dell's royal household to not be involved at all in the raising of the children - mostly by her own choice.
Leisl, leader of The Whispering Arrows, an incredibly skilled group of archer mercenaries from Free Territory of Galanthis, was perfectly happy to engage in a passionate fling with Dorian whenever they were in the same place. She didn't particularly want to be pregnant, or to be a mother, but when she got pregnant, she grudgingly bore the child. Afterward, she had no qualms about giving the girl up entirely to Dorian's care and the Queen's household and never looked back. By the time Nora was old enough to really ask questions, Leisl was missing and presumed dead.
When she was alive, Leisl was not involved in Nora's life. She was not interested - in fact, unlike most of the Queen's polycule, she seemed summarily uninterested in anything or anyone but the physical pleasure of her time with Dorian. Dorian's partners were all in agreement that she brought out the worst in him, and not sad to see her keep her distance.
