Igerius Shade
Igerius Shade is the head of the Sekhaim in Lastar and Simon's commander, in technicality. He is good at his job, but that means not being widely liked at times.

Personal history
Igerius grew up much closer to the capitol of The Brilliant Empire, just outside of Ostar, and was trained in a temple closer to the capitol city. Once he was through his Cadet years, he bounced around as he climbed the ranks before settling as a Commander at Lastar Temple, where he stayed for the rest of his career. He is currently Lastar's Centurian.

Mannerisms
Igerius is very dry and reserved in manner; this often leads to him seeming cold and calculated. Which, to be fair, he is to many of his underlings and strangers; but those who get to know him see his devotion to the things he believes in and dry humor.

History
Since Simon is technically attached to Lastar Temple, Igerius is technically his Centurian, though those lines are fairly blurry between Guardians and non-Guardians. They were Cadets together, though not in the same Cohort; they are fond of each other, despite all outward appearances, but rule-following Igerius struggles with Simon's choices to train Jory and now Fletchor outside of the Sekhaim norms, as well as his choice to stay just a Guardian and not advance up the ranks.
