Brinhenge Park
Brinhenge Park extends outward from the Brinhenge, an ancient henge that predates the city. The actual henge, which is still used as a place of worship by members of the Green Faith, is surrounded by a ring of huge trees. Paths wend through the trees and greenery and gardens, both formal and natural, surprise walkers around many turns.
Brinhenge was old when the first settlers from the empire settled here. The story goes that the settlers felt safe near the stones and that once, near the beginning of the settlement, raiding gnolls refused to attack the villagers that sought sanctuary in the henge.
North of Brinhenge is the Silver Elm Inn, built and carved into the still-living stump of one of the great trees. To the east of the Silver Elm is the Tuathi embassy. Three noble houses live in Brinhenge, the Roanguld, the Keleth, and the Morrells. Their estates are spread out through the park. The elven Temple of Silver Stars is located southeast of Brinhenge.
All of Brinhenge park is wooded, and most of the homes and buildings here are modest and made to blend into the greenery. At night, the park itself seems to sleep, and someone walking the park at night gets the sense of being deep in a forest.
