Temple of Silver Stars
The Temple of Silver Stars is one of Brineven's oldest and most revered temples. Since its burning 22 years ago, the elven temple has been rebuilt to the same exact specifications as the previous temple, though the elves regard it as a lesser work compared to the original. The inner hall is shaped like a diamond with numerous marble statues of the elven gods along the walls of the ground floor. The four wings and the upper floors contain libraries, individual chapels for private worship services, and the offices and living quarters of the clerics and sages that inhabit the Temple.
Three clerics of note head the Temple. They are assisted in their duties by many acolytes, most of which spend only a few months or years at the temple before moving on to another.
Loremaster Elathae Stillwaters is a devoted cleric of Labelas Enoreth, elven god of longevity, time and history. Elathae is the eldest of the temple, having lived well over 300 years. She has been at the temple for almost a century. She is one of the foremost historians in Brineven, and Neldath University considers itself fortunate that she is an occasional guest-speaker.
Dylar Stargazer is a cleric of Corellon, but his focus is on Corellon as god of magic. He stands a little over 5 5" and has long black hair and deep blue eyes, which some say light up at the discovery of new magic or lore. Dylar has been known to leave the Temple for months at a time. During those times he is often questing for newly discovered magic, be it item or spell. Despite his restlessness (for an elf), Dylar takes his duties at the Temple seriously and truly enjoys teaching acolytes. He in turn takes lessons from Elathae and is next in line to lead the temple.
The third cleric to lead the Temple of Silver Stars is Shaelys Moonson of Sehanine. Sehanine is god of the moon, prophecy, and death. Most elves whose time is near make their way back to the Tuathwold and pass among their own people, but there are many elves who were born and raised in Brineven. Shaelys oversees their passing, not just in the city, but the entire grand duchy. Though elven death is a rare occurrence, so Shaelys is not often away from the Temple of Silver Stars.
