Rothenburg ob der Tauber, the Lighthouse emits an eerie purple glow from its lamp.
The lighthouse is a physical representation of the nexus of energy that drives the existence of The Mistlands and is responsible for the appearance of the three towns and their inhabitants within The Mistlands, away from the world that they once knew.
The lamp at the top of the lighthouse is in fact an non-corporeal eldritch being that has drawn the towns and their inhabitants in to a pocket dimension of its own creation in order to learn about humans, creatures that it is fascinated with. The beam of the lighthouse represents the creature's gaze and shows were the creature's attention is at any given time.
