Legend of the Silver Pine
Unreliable Sources
Nothing can be confirmed about this. It's only talked about in one book and unlike The Great Awakening which every single member of the first generation talked about in their writings, this story only available in fragments of The Lost Journal Entries of the First Listener. Which we know had an unreliable narrator.Summary
The story is a bit long to put here, but here is the gist of it.
Before The Great Awakening the ancients who populated our world during the forgotten era attempted to pursue immortality. In their search, they discovered the original Silverbark who gave onto them a simple silver pine needle that they were told would save their world. They chose to plant the pine at the highest point in the world, forming the Silverbark Grove which witnessed the old world destroy itself. To work towards a brighter future, the Silverbark set forth to create better people. The original pine needle being the heart of the great grove, and actually held the true nature of the Awoken.
Historical Basis
So... Trying to pull real history from this shit sounds completely nutters. It doesn't make any sense with the understanding of real events. Especially with the timelines I have spent so much time creating. However, this story and the hunt for the Silver Pine has lead at least a hundred or more awoken going missing. I think the silver grove is real, but I can't believe this is how it came to be.
