Water Bomb

Article Contents

A Water Bomb is a type of Expansion Bomb that utilizes large amounts of Water, typically around 100 liters, compressed down to 1 liter, using compression glass to reduce the volume and gravity glass to reduce the weight. When thrown and the glass breaks, the water rapidly expands to a hundred times its size, or rather, to its original size, covering or filling whatever it was thrown at with water.

Usually only pure water is used for these bombs, but heavy water made from Deuterium can be used to give the water a mana charge. This can be used to make the water flash to steam after exploding or freezing into ice shortly after expanding, though there are specialized bombs for those two functions.

Water Bombs are usually used for fighting fires and carrying large amounts of water on long journeys. There is also such a thing as an Expansion bottle that can carry reduced amounts of water in place of bombs, which is preferable if you don't want to waste a hundred liters when you might only need several.

"A lot of people usually wonder what happens to all the glass after these bombs break open. After all, no one wants to get a mouthfull of glass while drinking water made with these things! Having all that glass around after putting out a fire wouldn't be the best of ideas either!

"The Secret is in the glass itself, and the enchantment drawn on it. These magic circles vary greatly in design and intent, but for the one made with water bombs, it causes the glass to disintegrate into very fine silicate powder after being broken. If filling a large container, this powder floats at the top and can be easily scooped out.

"You can usually see the magical effect of glass shattering and falling apart the moment the bomb breaks. This takes the form of little sparkling white lights, which is actually the aether dissipating into the background."
