Acid Bomb

An Acid Bomb is a type of Expansion Bomb that utilizes large amounts of concentrated hydrochloric acid, at a ratio of about 40% Acid to water. When thrown and the glass vessel holding the acid breaks, the liquid rapidly expands to 100 times its compressed size, able to fully cover most targets with ease. These are considered to be quite dangerous, but non-lethal bombs.

Hydrochloric Acid with this high of a concentration is extremely dangerous. It will cause severe skin burns within a few minutes, damage the eyes, damage the lungs, and more. Worse, hydrochloric acid becomes more acidic if charged with mana, so it isn't a good idea to try casting any spells while covered in it.

Most mages, even unskilled ones, can immediately neutralize the acid by conjuring large amounts of Lime all over their bodies, and then conjuring plenty of water to rinse themselves off. This has the effect of pretty much draining their mana, which takes them out of combat, which is the actual purpose of these bombs.

There are certainly more dangerous acids out there. There are superacids that are quite caustic on their own and when charged with mana just reach absurd levels of reactivity. The issue is there is no known vessel that can easily store these acids.
