The Fundemental Schools

The Alliance

Tomorrow to Glory
Every student who attends the Peacekeeper Academy takes classes in The Alliance. Graduates are all expected to be exemplary of the Peacekeeper Alliance and therefore needs to know it inside and out. Classes include:
  • A history of The Alliance
  • Understanding Peacekeeper culture
  • The Territories and their assets
  • PA Commands
  • The structure of The Alliance
As all students have ambitions to work at The Alliance, and they all also live within its borders, it is likely that this covers information that is already well known to them. The difference is that, as with most things at The Academy, this goes much deeper and by the final year covers classified information.

Combat

Words and Weapons
The School of Combat is not always the most popular schools with students when they first join The Academy. There is a reason, after all, that they applied to The Academy and not to one of the four excellent military schools which train recruits who join The Alliance's military operations. However, after a few classes they begin to change their minds. Classes include:
  • Anything can be deadly
  • Baiting the hook: how to provoke an incident
  • Biding your time: how to avoid an incident
  • Poisons and other silent killers
Although most people who work at The Alliance don't spend a lot of time out in the field, the work they do is difficult, top secret and at time dangerous. Being able to protect yourself is crucial.

Initiative

Wisdom is Work
Students who join The Academy are not given a choice in attending classes with the School of Initiative, because there is not a single employee who works at The Alliance who has not had to use the skills taught in these classes, which include:
  • Problem solving
  • Identifying opportunities
  • Asking the right questions
  • Anticipating issues
  • Decisiveness
These classes help ensure that every person who works at The Alliance is capable of taking accountability for not only their own work, but recognising issues and holding other people to account as well.

Course Structure

Students attend courses at the Academy for a minimum of four years. Students who show an exceptional amount of talent may be asked to stay for an additional two years which are likely to include half a year interning within The Alliance and give them an extra step up when it comes to applying for a career there.
