High District

Originally built as a district for Scholars and Artists, this district is now inhabited by the wealthy elites of Wholstad. This district is the highest (in relavtion to the others) elevated in Wholstad and is said to have many a great view of the city.

The Elites of Wholstad frequently play games of power amongst themselves, marrying and bribing thier way up and down thier own social ladder. It is commonly thought that they look down on the rest of the city, unless they are in need.

This District is filled with large estates and grand manors, the streets are wide and paved with asphault, the smell of flowers is almost always on the breeze and trouble is always hidden.

Demographics

Noble Blood

Those who posses old blood (as old as 300 years at least) and regal favor (what little they do have) live in thier own world up in this district. Often these people play games of social value as they have little better to do.

The young men of this group are fequently installed into Wholstad's Leadcoat Military as soon as they can be enlisted at 16, typically as an officer due to family connections. Before they then leave the military after 4 years of service.

Wealthy Elites

Those who while the do not possess Noble Blood do possess noble money, also live in this district. These rich families are often indestinguishable to the former group unless one has a family tree or is either group.

Working Hands

Such lavish estates, fancy parties and lavish meals require many hands to make and keep up to co. Servants often live in periods of 3 weeks of service, living at thier employer's estate and 2 weeks break living at home in the Worker's District. They are not paid as much as they should and often abused.

Infrastructure

This district is built in ascending plateau's that have it's residences slowly rise upwards from each other. The streets wind through these plateaus.

This District has Elektricity, Runing water and Gas pipes.

History

Originally this district was designed for Artists and Scholars, with condo's that had open balconies and many windows. Few of these residences were ever occupied and as such many were purchased by the wealthy as a "Holiday home". After the flooding of the Runoff District and the ensueing abandonment of the Wayestone District, many of the empty condo's were destroyed and large mannors were built atop the plateau in thier place. Over time, the original inhabitants of this district were pushed out or had thier homes purchased and as such left the district. Few of the original Condo's remain today.
