The Axe and Scroll Inn
Purpose / Function
Built primarily as an Inn for visitors to the capital, over recent years The Axe and Scroll has expanded its tavern services resulting in increased traffic from non-overnight visitors and locals. However the Inn still offers more rooms than any other in the city and is the only acceptable choice for visitors with high standards but who do not have the contacts required to stay at the Palace.
History
Built by the grandfather of the current landlord, The Axe and Scroll is one of the newer businesses to be accepted into The Royal Trader's Guild of Illyria. The previous member representing taverns and inns closed after a fire leaving a vacancy in the guild, which The Axe and Scroll was eventually selected to fulfill after steep competition.
