After House Gavinies fell to the hands of The Killjoys, the noble House Palatius quickly became the most totalitarian of the Houses beneath the Coalition. Odessa Palatius - whose family derives hereditary power from their contract with an entity known solely as the "Ceaseless Watcher" - rules over her people with an iron grip.
History
The city of Palatia was founded in CY 555 by Percival Palatius, a Runner Elf who sought to own land for his self (as the vast majority of Temporan land had already been claimed. They joined the Coalition but a decade later to gain the resources behind that particular institution - and have been utilizing those resources to their fullest extent ever since.
House Palatius has held the position of Noble Premier twice in Iacchan history - and both times plunged the country into deep economic recession. Most of the other House Heads try to ensure that House Palatius doesn't gain that seat again.
House Palatius is currently engaged in war with the city-state of Garrond in a campaign called the Delta Seizure.
