Gauntlet of Disintegration

History
Once wielded by the Ancient Master of Transmutation Aldric Widogast, the Gauntlet of Disintegration is a one-of-a-kind item that can transmute anything into nothingness. Back in the earliest hours of Uthilith, strife had been conjured by one of Bren's darkest cognitions - an entity that has since been imprisoned. The original empress - Astrid - sought to put an end to the darkness created by the Creator's fear and panic, and thus instructed one of the world's first legendary archmagi to find the source of violence. Standing in the center of the continent of Iacchus Argentum were many strange and evil creatures who found their way to the demiplane from the Far Realm by this prisoner, seeking to tear it apart and consume all inside. With a single snap of his fingers, Aldric disintegrated them all and took a large part of the landscape below with them - thus, The Great Divide was created.   In CY 1679, the Gauntlet was uncovered by The Killjoys in their endeavor to fulfill L'escalier du diable. The Gauntlet was used to complete the ritual, breaking the ceiling separating Valenacht from the Chromatic Palace and thus allowing the party to infiltrate said building. However, since the Gauntlet had but one charge left upon its use, it destroyed the artifact in the process. Sufjan the Smart currently carries its mangled remains.
Mechanical Description
If the Gauntlet is targeted at a creature, the creature must make a DC 24 Dexterity saving throw or suffer 12d8+100 force damage, half upon a success. If the creature is dropped to zero hit points, their form completely disintegrates into the aether. Nothing short of a Wish or True Resurrection can bring back a creature who died in this fashion. Elementals, constructs, oozes, and plants have disadvantage on this saving throw; nonmagical inanimate objects and magical items that aren't made with mithril or adamantine are automatically destroyed.
Aside from a Wish, this is the only artifact capable of breaking through a conjured Impenetrable Barrier - a magnified form of a standard Wall of Force.
