The city-state of Bina'nahr is a human city-state independent from the Eastern Kingdom of Chaelwyth, though the two governments possess a mutual respect for one another. The area is home to The Swarm, an elite force of rangers with extensive military prowess. Bina’nahr’s independence was decided solely in thanks to The Swarm’s ability to hold back even Severnia's battalion of mages in the early 1400's, an incredibly difficult feat for even the most powerful of armies.

Bina'nahr is ethnically homogenous, with 98% of its population being Human. The other 2% are typically Lightfoot Halflings from the nearby Morelle who reside in Bina'nahr part-time as peddlers of Morelle's goods and services.
Government
The full name of Bina'nahr is "The Sovereign Commonwealth of Bina'nahr", as the city is independent from the Eastern Kingdom of Chaelwyth. It is a heavily militarized settlement, though the citizenry has minimal discomfort with the nature of their education due to an overwhelming sense of protectiveness and pride over their indigenous territory.
The Swarmkeeper - a matriarchal position in the Binan government - is the most senior member of The Swarm (an elite military squadron of incredibly talented rangers). She oversees the passage of legislation put forth by civilians, as Bina'nahr is a democracy with constant cycles of voting for laws and referendums.
Infrastructure
As Bina'nahr is an independent state of rangers, it lacks the amenities of places like Severnia. However, the citizenry remains comfortable in a relatively idyllic, peaceful life.
