Willem is a Fairy born in the Density, as any Fairy is. His Source Tree thrives in the Density, even as he wanders to other parts of Turien.
Thus, Willem followed Charlise to a Human school. There, they met Jade, and somehow, the next year, they all attended the The All-Races Classroom in Mid City. Willem likes Jade, but he does not like the new person Charlise seems to have her eye on. Maybe he too, can drift away from people? He doesn't want to change, but maybe Charlise just wants him to speak for himself more? Willem has many worries he cannot clearly define as they are worries for outside the Density where telepathy doesn't exist. He tries to speak up, but playing a Human can be hard sometimes. He is learning how to grit his teeth, just as he sees Charlise does.
Out of the Forest
With the exception of his Uncle Chad, Fairies do not leave the Density as Willem currently is. He himself would not either, except that Aunt May received a Message for him. 'Communicate with other Races, this will start to bridge the gap.' With Aunt May personally delivering this to him, Willem felt reassured that Charlise, his Snake-kin friend, was already a friend. If he followed her, maybe he could answer the Message. At the very least, she was a Beast-kin and they are another race, so he isn't denying the Message.Thus, Willem followed Charlise to a Human school.
