Two people, the young and enthousiastic Merja and her kind and more experienced travel companion Naivara, arrive in Markentis to see if they can help with the 'marketproblem' they heard about. They ask for information at the Riverside Inn, where they meet the charismatic but excentric (and honestly a little abrasive) Gruttel, who wants to join their cause because they seem interesting. They go to the market to see first person what this problem entails and discover that recently little to no trade has come from the northern part of the peninsula, and therefore the market is empty and the main business of Markentis halting.
On the market the three meet an awkward wood elf, Hagal, looking very out of place. He asks for their help with his 'Goblinproblem'. The goblins are disruptingthe natural balance in the mountains he calls home. Since these mountains are in the same direction as the tradestop the four decide to team up to tackle these problems, and more to come.
