Merchants Guild of Narland
The Merchants Guild is the most powerful guild in Narland. Their main business is in moving materials and goods from one location to another, but this extends to almost every consideration in the supply chain. Warehousing, caravanning, barges and even international relations have become day to day activities for the guild as the industrial engine of Narland produces ever more goods to be traded.
A major division of the guild is in charge of running general stores across Narland, selling common items of all types directly to the people. These are not always the cheapest way to access such goods, but the it has brought a much wider range of commercial opportunities to people accross the land. Most small towns in Narland have either a small general store, or at least a travelling salesman who visits regularly. These stores are independent businesses, but are affiliated to the Merchants guild and use their distribution networks.
