Greenmount Peninsula

A large cape, projecting eastward into the Tethys and separating the north and south islands of the archipelago, situated equatorial in the world, giving rise to a lush and verdant land. It is named for the manner in which the landmass and islands were created, a process opposite of the traditional: Instead of slowly rising from volcanic activity from the sea floor, the peninsula was created in an instant by a massive eruption and spewing of lava and liquid rock, making contact with the cold sea.
Currently, it is home to vast and dense jungles, Emerald Fenestrae and Jaded Weald, the Moribund Vitalis, a massive waterway system to support the greenery, mountains that reach for the celestial plane, The Serpent's Scales, and a valley carved deep into the ground by a celestial visitor, the Earthfall Vale and Earthfall Basin.
The lawful-lizard society of Locitore is located on the northwestern half of the region, and the arcane towering city of Erudition to the east, the former of which is home to the world famous university of mages, Academia Arcana.
