Earthfall Basin

A large crater located at the northern end of the Greenmount Peninsula , and the terminus of the Earthfall Vale. A massive hunk of celestial rock lies dormant at the bottom of the divot, now overgrown with centuries of vegetation, a single well-worn path leads to the epicenter of the earthen depression. Accounts from events recorded millennia ago, indicate that a huge meteor hurdled toward the land from the celestial planes, scraping the surface and setting it ablaze, creating what is now the Earthfall Vale, before landing in its final and current resting place, the Earthfall Basin. An object of both divine and arcane intrigue, research facilities and shrines or worship have been established around its immediate vicinity.  Much of the knowledge surrounding the meteor and its uses is kept secret, and access restricted.
