House Merhojin
House Merhojin is a small noble house, too small to carry a crest of their own, and so they use the crest of Talmberg in place of their own, seeing as they have been the stewards of the Barony of Talmberg for many generations now.
History
House Merhojin trace their ancestry to a small Baronetcy or some such in the Principality of Zarovich - it is unknown exactly when the family was formed, but the first historical mention of them was in 729.
The family stayed in the lands of Zarovich quite long after others had fled - in fact, several generations, earning them the nickname "Stout Hearts".
The family eventually was driven from their lands by the rampaging undead hordes, and so few members of the family survived that it is truly a wonder that the line was not wiped out at some point. The family took up being traveling Hedge Knights and sellswords for some time, and eventually through this knowledge, they began horse trading and eventually horse breeding and their business was bought out by a local lord, which earned them enough money to buy a stable in baldur's gate - this was a much less profitable venture, but it gave them access to the important places in society, and eventually lead to them hearing about the expedition to the Staglands, which they joined in.
Soon after, they had created the Stud Farm of Merhojed and for their support to the Talmar family, they were awarded with Stewardship of the Barony, and the crest of Talmberg is even an homage to the Merhojin family's nickname.
