House Budin

House Budin is one of the more respected noble houses in the Staglands. For generations, House Budin has stewarded Rattay, and their crest has the honor of flying over towers. Budin is extremely loyal to House Talmar and has always been indispensable to Rattay, being the rulers of the primary food source in Greater Rattay - namely Ledetchko.

History

House Budin's history begins in Zarovich, like many of the other noble houses of the Staglands, but they were already styling themselves as Lords prior to the rise of the Zarovich family and were among the families that placed the Zarovich family in control of the entire principality.   House Budin originally laid claim to the Staglands themselves, and they had good cause, as they had more experience with management of settlements, better diplomatic relations and were quite frankly wealthier than the other houses - they lacked the martial prowess to come through on their claim, however, and were defeated in combat by House Talmar, and subsequently changed their Coat-of-Arms to what it is today - a pair of crossed antlers, as a symbol that they would never try to claim the Staglands for themselves again. Naturally, this was done in response to House Talmar's decision to use a crowned ramparting stag as the symbol for the entire March, after finally ascending to the position as rulers of the fiefdom.
