The Capitol of all of Gora, its ancient and monolithic walls cast tremendous shadows over even the top of the near by jungle canopy. Bendora was Bendath'uktal nearly 4 centuries ago, however in the year 2214, After the Karen Navy took most coastlines in Gora, their inland pushes began. Bendath'uktal being close to the shore, and having a trade route with the fishing town Zebin became one of the first, and last sieges to take place in Gora. Bendath'uktal was the most well defended city on all of Erador thanks to its walls that where built long ago. These walls are thought to predate even Human kind, and where a gift from The Hexmatic deities. This Siege was one of the longest from the Karen Crusade, it ended when after almost a year passed and starvation was reaching too high of a level within the city, and P'thear Shatl the leader of the guard or military within the city called for surrender. The walls never fell, and the generals respected each other greatly, so minimal damage came to the city and its inhabitants when P'thear Shatl surrendered. The city was renamed to Bendora some time later, and The Gilded Crown has used it as a central point of power within Gora ever sense.

Government

While Relnax of House Calathurn, High Gem of Benasaurii Governs the state as a whole from the city of Bendora, other officials minimize his responsibility over the capitol city itself. These officials include Takal of House Alikar, Mayor of Bendora, Lawseeker Mythrax of House Calathurn, and various Guild masters and wealthy elite. The High Gem is appointed by the acting king like every other high Gem, however once in power, the High Gem is the one that appoints Lawseekers and Mayors within the state, and Bendora is no different. However its clear to most that those chosen tend to be trusted friends or family of the High Gem in question.

Industry & Trade

Bendora, being as old and large as it is has always needed outside trade and food to come through the city, luckily its very close to several port towns, and has much support from its sister city just north of it, Ventor.

Infrastructure

Bendora is a city of history, its ancient ties and structures have carried through the ages to modern times, and much of its infrastructure from long ago is still functional due to frequent repair and maintenance. Along the slow moving and expanded river that cuts through the southeastern side of town, tons of watermills line the man made stone walls of this river. These watermills are used for a large array of tasks, and provide mechanical support to day to day life. Two bridges carved in a very curved draconic style cross this river, and give access to the Black district, a much poorer part of town, where most Black Dragonborn live.

Bendora Plays host to many guilds, or even extensions of guilds present in Kare.

Bendora is a city of change, its ancient ties and structures have carried through the ages to modern times. Depending on where you are in the massive city, you could be looking at a building from thousands of years ago, so the design of buildings can be drastically different.
