Ventor, Balin

Date of Description: 2562 ALG
After exiting the jungle you begin to wined your way up the smaller rocky hills that the city of Ventor rest on. You see, looking up the hill that you climb, massive quarrying operations that slope down the hills, exposing granite to the air, clearly showing what the walls of the city further up the hill are made from. As the road narrows, and the quarries begin to flank you on both sides, you notice strange stone structures that fill the now decommissioned sections of the quarries. These stone foundations, and basins hold what looks like groves of trees, revealing them to be some strange type of terrace farm that lines the walls of no longer quarried sections. looking back up the road you see large beautifully carved granite walls surrounding the inner city, with structures and homes on the outside of the city. Colorful groups of races appear to make their ways in, and around the city, however most people appear to be Black Dragonborn at fist glance, which doesn't come as a surprise based on where you are. This collection of buildings outside of the cities walls, are known as the Out Towns, and is the product of over population within the city proper. Almost every building appears to be made from clay, granite, wattle and daub, and/or firm jungle woods and reeds. Small groups of Metal Guard keep watch of everyone who enters the city, including you as you enter the large and well fortified eastern, and main gate to the city.

Casstisal Arinth works directly under High Gem Tarser, as a council member of his court, and Casstiasl of Ventor. Though Tarser's house owns The Thoraser Estate, as well as Fort Brush, both of which being within the area of control surrounding Ventor, Tarser leaves the management of the city to Casstisal Arinth, only ever taking charge in special cases.
