Xarnas V Complex 04
The complex where a science team initially discovered the true history of the Xarnas System. Located on Xarnas V.
Xarnas V complex 04 is a relatively large structure designed to investigate archaeotech artifacts found by some exploration teams. One unprofesional volunteer science team discovered and studied one artifact found relatively deep, giving the Hyperion Federation the location of the Xadia Ancients homeworld. This was soon found to be Xarnas III, which is in the same system as this planet.
This complex has been upgraded with some of the most advanced scientific technologies the HF has access to, and expanded significantly. It is now the largest structure on the planet, however the planet is very cold and barren with very few large structures. It is powered through a Planck-Dismantlement Beam located roughly in its center.
The center is operated by the original volunteers (who are now professional scientists and play an important role in the HF expeditions on the planet), as well as much more experienced archaeotech scientists with many years in the field. The HF has dedicated a large amount of resources to find and study more archaeotech.
The facility is also well hidden from other factions of Arcturus. The HF has designed it to feature no entrances or exits, and rely entirely on Teleporters to reach the planet. However they have multiple redundancies in case one (or more) fail. Replicator-like machines constantly maintain the facility as well, so the event of one teleporter failing is extremely unlikely. Its energy signature is still large and likely to be detected by other Arcturus factions however.
It is designed to withstand the extreme continental shift of the planet. Its shell is so strong that it caused a crack to form around it one time.
